Psych

Movies are still slow...

Psych announced last week that this would be its last season. We had five more new episodes before reruns are all that we have left. It was pretty sad news for me and all the other Psychos out there. For 100+ episodes we've heard it both ways, sucked it, and been "son-of-bitches." I should have saw the end coming when they killed Yang in the musical.

I am going to miss this show.

Favorite episode ever: The Hangover remake had to be the best thing ever. It was definitely better than the actual Hangover movie.

The first episode of season 8 has been my favorite so far. Who doesn't love Pierre Desperueax, Harry Potter, England, and highly-orchestrated robbery?

Most of all, who doesn't love this duo:

Robocop rants ( plus review)

**Spoiler alert**

The whole time I was watch Robocop I was thinking, "What would it take for me the approve of robots protecting the street?" I have come up with that answer. There would need to be an alien race that human beings could not fight on their own for me to approve that kind of killing machine patrolling the streets.

I would hope that American aren't sheep-like enough to fall for that kind of marketing plan. I'm in public relations and I would never work for a company of this nature. This made me think that healthcare might be more corrupt than the financial sector. ( Then, I remembered this is a movie.) You can't put a price on one's life,  but that kind of pressure make people make interesting decisions like replace every part of one's body with mechanical parts.

My major problem with this movie is that robots were killing people. The gunshots were not going to kill them like they would kill a human. I don't understand why they need guns if that have Taser-rounds that knocked people unconscious. They could easily disable someone because they would not  die from being shot. I couldn't get pass that very obvious flaw in the plot.

Did anyone make this reference?

Pros: The Robocop suit and motorcycle.

Cons: Where are the bionic limbs in 2014??

Dead season

The past few months have been like an episode of The Walking Dead. Most of the releases are fleshing-eating rejects waiting to rip your face off. Okay. Maybe it's not that bad, but the movies hitting the theaters lately are as desirable as becoming the undead.

This time of year is the worst for good movies. Every movie has been pretty mediocre or just plain bad for the past month or two because studios are waiting for summer to give us the good stuff. I watched Ride Along a few weeks ago. It was funny, but nothing too special. I'm getting anxious waiting and waiting for the next amazing thing to hit theaters.

I know this happens every year between January and Marchbut for some reason this year seems to the worst for me. It might be because I wasn't impress with too many of the holiday releases.  Movies like Her, Frozen, and Wolf on Wallstreet was great, but it wasn't enough to get me through this dry season.

At least House of Cards is back.

Movies I'm ready for:
Captain America - 4/4/14
Rio - 4/11/14
The Amazing Spiderman - 5/2/14
Godzilla - 5/16/14
X-Men: Days of Future Past - 5/23/14
Maleficent -5/30/14
