The past few months have been like an episode of The Walking Dead. Most of the releases are fleshing-eating rejects waiting to rip your face off. Okay. Maybe it's not that bad, but the movies hitting the theaters lately are as desirable as becoming the undead.
This time of year is the worst for good movies. Every movie has been pretty mediocre or just plain bad for the past month or two because studios are waiting for summer to give us the good stuff. I watched Ride Along a few weeks ago. It was funny, but nothing too special. I'm getting anxious waiting and waiting for the next amazing thing to hit theaters.
I know this happens every year between January and March, but for some reason this year seems to the worst for me. It might be because I wasn't impress with too many of the holiday releases. Movies like Her, Frozen, and Wolf on Wallstreet was great, but it wasn't enough to get me through this dry season.
At least House of Cards is back.
Movies I'm ready for:
Captain America - 4/4/14
Rio - 4/11/14
The Amazing Spiderman - 5/2/14
Godzilla - 5/16/14
X-Men: Days of Future Past - 5/23/14
Maleficent -5/30/14
